After I wrote the post with pics setted among the ruins (this post), in which I published a Riccardo Tesi track as accompanying music, I was invited by him to go to the presentaton of his new album "Madreperla".
The three Banditaliana musicians accompanied Riccardo instrumentally and vocally in the execution of ethno-folk tracks contained in the new album, interspersed with some other valuable track of their repertoire. A real shame to have sitting in a chair at the theater, while their music drags you in a square to dance!
Beautiful the contamination of the eastern sound, the experiments with unusual instruments and music in the rendition of some superstitious spells and chants of the folk Tuscany tradition.
If you have the opportunity to have the band in your city (soon they will leave for an international tour), don't miss the concert!
Dopo aver scritto il post ambientato in mezzo alle rovine (questo post), in cui avevo pubblicato come accompagnamento alle immagini un brano stupendo di Riccardo Tesi, sono stata invitata dal musicista in persona ad andare alla presentazione del suo nuovo album, "Madreperla" a Quarrata (PT).
I tre musicisti di Banditaliana hanno accompagnato Riccardo strumentalmente e vocalmente nell'esecuzione dei pezzi etno-folk contenuti nel nuovo album, intervallati da alcuni pezzi del loro prezioso repertorio. Un vero peccato dover rimanere seduti in poltrona a Teatro, quando la loro musica ti trascina in una piazza a scatenarsi ballando!
Bellissime le contaminazioni di sound orientali, le sperimentazioni di strumenti insoliti, e le reinterpretazioni in musica di alcuni scongiuri e filastrocche scaramantiche della tradizione popolare toscana.
Se avete l'occasione di avere la band nella vostra città (presto partiranno per una tournèe internazionale), non perdetevi il concerto!
And this is the outfit I chose for the evening: basic and simple, embellished only by two "folk" pieces: a large scarf stole from my mum that I used as a belt and an eye-catching bracelet that my friend Jenny has taken me from her trip in Greece. It has got a little bell as charm: that's perfect for cheering!

Questo è l'outfit che ho scelto per la serata: semplice e basico, ornato solo da due pezzi "folk": un grande foulard rubato a mia mamma che ho usato come cintura e un vistoso bracciale che la mia amica Jenny mi ha portato dal suo viaggio in Grecia. Ha una piccolo sonaglino come charm: adattissimo per applauire!)
